New North Church (second) is dedicated.

May 2, 1804

Architect: Charles Bulfinch. Originally the New North Church (second) and designed in the Federal Meeting House style, it is located at today’s 401 Hanover Street. It is the only surviving church designed by Bulfinch in Boston. After the congregation merges with the Bulfinch Church, the building is purchased by the Archdiocese of Boston and becomes a Catholic church in 1842.*
